power steering pump
this was a replacement power steering pump on a GMC truck. It is not a GM manufactured pump. It is an aftermarket remanufactured pump.
The replacement pump was quiet and smooth but on the test drive we lost power steering at idle. There was no assist when the truck was idling.
At idle the power steering should go to around 1400 psi when you turn the steering wheel. This was way too low.
We replaced the pump again and the second pump worked normally.

oil seal leaked on to the brake shoes and was causing the brakes in the rear to lock up under light braking. Found one side coated with oil. Found some pitting on the spindle. Had three different cars come in with coolant leaks this week. I guess they come in spurts. Ok, no more puns... starts with: dodge ram pick up water pump leaking. 2:05 honda accord radiator leaking. something must have flown up and hit the radiator cooling tube. 2:38 And a 2012 ford f150 5.0L radiator hose connector.

Hyundai Elantra coolant leak. Warranty. Covered under the 2 year 24,000 mile warranty, parts and labor will not cost the customer anything. I thought everyone could see it was the water pump. The belt and metal pulley has been removed so you can see the water pump. The weep hole is leaking coolant.

this Nissan Titan drove in for us to look at the axle for a leak. As soon as we lifted it up we could see the tire drop... Took the wheel off and this is what we found. The axle would move up and down and in and out. A lot! The movement in and out was the brake caliper sliding on the caliper pins. The caliper was the only thing holding this axle in.

here's what I found when I took the front struts apart. The rear was similar but I was able to make them usable. the front was another story. The strut mounts and bearings were pretty beat up. At least I didn't have to replace the struts themselves.

Alternator bearings are bad. When the wires that allow the alternator to power up the load makes the bearings whine. when I unplug the wire connector the load stops and the noise goes away

Most people never think of the MAF SENSOR. it is obvious first test to check for malfunctioning when you have bad timing, misfire, white smoke & running like crap in general.... The test is unplug it while idling - if motor keeps running MAF is broken - replace the MAF sensor assembly & car or truck will run great.
Would this be the same on the 305 Vortec? I'm assuming the ignition system is probably the same

Same thing happened to my 91 22re had my truck towed to Toyota in Butte Mt. They had it for 3 months couldn't figure it out. Towed it back home stuck over 1000 dollars of parts in it about to give up on it and found that a injector was shorted out. These injectors had only a only about 5000 miles on them so I just figured they wouldn't be a problem

Francisco, have you checked to see if you still have spark from the coil? Why did you pull the spark plug wire and turn the engine on? So, when you pulled the wire off the spark plug was the engine running? If that's what you did, did you have spark jumping from the spark plug wire while the engine was running? But now, the engine doesn't turn over when you put the key in the start position or does the engine crank over but it just won't start?
@@WarrenAutomotive have spark on coil I clean the distributor cap had corrosion but dint check for cracks or check if the rotor was burn or warn out n yes wen I put the cap back dint wanna start so decide to check for spark on cyl 3 took the wire off n it started that's why I left it like that.
@@franciscohuerta9860 okay, so it didn't start even before you pulled the wire off the spark plug. (red herring) If you have good spark from the coil then it's just the distribution to the cylinders. Rotor could be grounded or the cap could shorted inside. The cap and rotor are pretty easy to replace. If you don't have the equipment to test them replace them and see if it solves your problem
My 2005 pathfinder has been leaking Coolant. But I could not see from where. I checked everywhere except this Crossover Hose. I would have never found this leak Thanks.

I replaced the cap still didn’t fix the problem and then I replaced the wire and spark plug and it was the same . I clear the code and it come back right away it’s says permanent code ? Please help what next I ran out of solutions . 1997 Chevy express van 5.7 engine P0302 .
since the computer says it on one particular cylinder (no. 2) I would look at the injector or the compression of that cylinder. You could try switching the #2 injector with the #4 injector and see if the miss moves with the injector or stays on #2. If the miss follows the injector then the injector is bad. If the miss stays on cylinder #2 then I would look at something mechanical. (That's if the spark is all good like you stated.)
@@WarrenAutomotive wow I never thought about this , I will try it . Yes all sparks are good and I’m getting sparks from the end of the wires all of them . Worst case scenario if the injector not bad then it would be lifters or falling cylinder ?

@@EARTHKEENING could be lifters, worn cam lobe, low compression from rings, or could be a burned valve. But injector or injector driver are not uncommon

Do you know if these are special o rings? I’m replacing the long pipe that goes under the manifold (hole rusted and leaked) and this short pipe isn’t bad but I’d rather replace the o rings.
@@jamescurran1920 It's just a coolant line so, if you want to run heater hose that should work fine. Use a hose clamp that you don't have to tyighten like a worm drive because if it becomes loose you won't be able to tighten it easily. Use a crimp style hose clamp.

Thanks for the video. I ran an additional ground wire from one of the alternator mounting bolts to the strut tower and had one in the same spot on the strut tower like one on top of each other and a bolt going through and on the 2nd one it goes to the negative terminal on the battery. I have a few things with extra grounds. Could that have caused the bearing to go bad in the alternator?
Yeon thank you I knew my p.o.s. Nissan Altima alternator was going out again . I was thinking it was the CVT transmission fluid needed to be changed or torque converter was out. Which it does need a converter but this is the sound I think I'm getting not so much the torque converter. Cause I fixed it before and it seemed to have went away. But being it's getting the salvage yard it's probably just gone bad again. I'm definitely going it's what it is. It does it after car warms up and especially once driving a good even small distance. But only once it's earned up and I been driving around a Lil bit

KD Tools 2632 Portable Ignition System. I don't think it is made anymore. you can find used though. they are used to get standard and HEI ignitions running so you can drive them into the shop (and as a diagnostic tool) It replaces the points and coil in standard ignitions and the replace the ignition module for HEI
These caps have always been a joke with leakage, should be a scheduled maintenance item.
How much $$$$ will that job cost the owner
I can't give you a $ price because the labor rate is so different from place to place. I can tell you it will be about 7 hours labor plus parts. The labor is 5.9 hours according to the book then add an hour for an evac and recharge the AC. It's a big job
